Picture this...

You walk into the nearest thrift shop. Start your routine by grabbing a cart and pushing it down your favorite clothing aisle. Feathering through brands as if they were a giant deck of cards, and you're looking for Ace's!

You come across a brand you're unsure of but feel it's the right quality to resell. What do you do?

  1. You get excited! Open the eBay app and search for the item.
  2. Then check how many active listings there are.
  3. After that, you click the "Filters" button. Scroll to the bottom and select "Sold Items."
  4. After gathering data by using various filters, you come up with a rough estimated sell-through rate, average sold, active, and shipping price. Right?
  5. After all that you finally notice the thrift store you're at thinks that their customers are from Beverly Hills, and these USED pair of Old Navy jeans are priced at $19.99.
  6. Annoyed, you reluctantly put it back and move on to ruffling through clothes again.

This was a common occurence for myself at all local thrift stores, and since I am a software engineer, I figured it was a perfect opportunity to increase my thrifting efficiency.

So, Thirsty Thrifter was born!
